a) The requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine as for the registration of the medical equipment and the necessity of introducing it into the Register of the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine are not subject to discussion. Different producers offer their technical ozonizers on the market, though they are not of a medical kind and their application has not been allowed by the Ministry of Public Health. Producers have to undergo a testing procedure and to have their ozonizers certified at the institutes and testing centers of the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine, Metrology and Gosstandart in full, that is analogous to the one "OZONE UM-80” has undergone embracing technical and qualification tests, (including the ozonizer functioning in cameras of warmth and cold, on the vibro-apparatus, testing for hit at falling, testing for electromagnetic compatibility, electrical safety, and electric disruption, toxicological testing, metrological testing, semi-annual testing of reliability of its functioning for failure and several dozens of other testing kinds) testing for safety of application, sanitary-hygienic testing, compliance with fire-prevention measures, as well as semi-annual clinical tests within the framework of the clinical bases of the Ministry of Public Health. 

It is the first time in Ukraine that the universal medical ozonizer apparatus "OZONE UM-80” produced by the only in the CIS and the first Ukrainian producer – "The Institute of Ozone Therapy and Medical Equipment” (Kharkiv) – has been certified by the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine, Metrology and Gosstandart in full, has been introduced into the Register of the Ministry of Public Health and has been recommended for application up to 13/05/2014 – the Certificate of state registration of the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine № 2578/2004 dated by 26.03.2004 prolonged by the order of the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine № 326 dated by 13.05.2009.

The Certificate of state metrological standardization from the State Committee of Standardization, Metrology and Certification of Ukraine № 08/19-2 dated by 10.04.2003 allowing testing and setting ozonizers of other producers with the help of "OZONE UM-80” apparatus has been received in Ukraine for the first time. 

The Finding of the State sanitary-epidemiologic expertise of the Ministry of Public Health № 05.03.02-07/54744 dated by 31.12.2003 approved of by the Deputy Head State Sanitary doctor of Ukraine G. F. Burlak about the endorsement of "OZONE UM-80” has been first received in Ukraine.

б) The reliability and safety of ozonizer exploitation is the most important indicator as the safety of staff and patients largely and primarily depends on it. The recommendations as for the limitation of the power consumption of no more than 100 W refer to the technical potential of medical ozonizers, its ability to smoothly regulate concentration and technical feasibilities of the flash camera without overheating, to get high concentrations of ozone-oxygenic mixture, providing the respective fire prevention measures and electric safety, among other factors, due to the low power consumption. The higher the level of the applied technology and know-how is, the greater the percentage of the electric power is spent on the electric discharge and ozone acquisition, and the lesser percentage is spent on heating various systems of the ozonizer.
